SLIM: Simple Low-budget Interactive Multimedia

SLIM is a label and a project which originates from the need to gather new (as well as old) artistic expressions regardless of the support or genre, and to give people who think outside the box something like a “Factory 2.0″.

The project’s main purpose is to gather together fine people who want to work on their ideas with others and also to gather those who are working in the widest variety of fields and want to share their skills. In fact, our purpose is to be a brand without all that economics crap and without demanding to have a corner on anything or anybody.

SLIM is also an answer to the present days, where the multiple art forms have several opportunities to find their very own ways, but in many instances are subject to the market and/or subject to mere entertainment logic.

Our label is made of those people who think that there are performances and works which are noteworthy and suitable for more broadcasting than they would have achieved by doing the work on their own – we will with all our passion try to give a push for recognition in the arts world during and after the artistic oeuvre.

We wish to boost Art in a different way, we want to regress from the standard market logic: we aren’t looking for big crowds at the parties, we aren’t looking for loads of money.

We aren’t against “the mainstream”: in fact, we assume that every form of Art and intellectual work deserves to be spread.

SLIM-branded works have the awareness to have passed the present in which they have been created; they represent an alternative to the conventions in the daily objects and open a gap in the way we used to live, believing that Art is actively involved in the evolution process of human mind.

This happens not only organizing festivals and musical, cultural or  artistic events by web and media; but also spreading musical and artistic culture by using all the ways of communication, and making ourself promoters of  protection of the music and art rights; finally, we collaborate with other no-profit associations and collectives of young people.
